Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

🛬 Day 1: Ayubowan! Arrival in Colombo

Warm welcome to Sri Lanka! Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport where your chauffeur will greet you. Take a short 1-hour drive to Colombo, check into your hotel, and relax after your flight.

Day 2

🐘 Day 2: Travel to the Cultural Triangle

After breakfast, drive to Dambulla/Habarana. In the late afternoon, embark on an exciting Jeep Safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park to witness the famous elephant gathering. Overnight stay in Habarana.

Day 3

🧗 Day 3: Sigiriya Rock & Village Tour

Early morning climb of the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress before the midday heat. After descending, experience a traditional Sri Lankan village tour including a bullock cart ride and authentic local lunch.

Day 4

🕉️ Day 4: Dambulla Cave Temple to Kandy

Explore the ancient Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, a World Heritage site. Proceed to the last ancient kingdom, Kandy. In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day 5

☕ Day 5: Journey to Little England (Nuwara Eliya)

Drive up into the cool, misty mountains. Visit a working tea factory to learn the art of Ceylon Tea production. Enjoy an optional evening stroll around Lake Gregory in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6

🚂 Day 6: The Scenic Train to Ella

Board the famous blue train at Nanu Oya station for a magical 3.5-hour ride to Ella, passing through lush valleys and cloud forests. Your driver will pick you up at the Ella station.

Day 7

🐆 Day 7: Udawalawe Safari & Travel South

Descend from the mountains and head to Udawalawe National Park for a thrilling wildlife safari. Afterwards, drive to the beautiful southern coast and check into your beach hotel in Weligama or Mirissa.

Day 8

Day 11

✈️ Day 11: Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a final beachside breakfast before a 2.5-hour transfer via the highway to Colombo International Airport for your journey home.
